(Update 5:15 p.m.) One man is in custody after police said he killed his mother in a south Billings apartment, according to Billings Police Lt. Dave Cardillo.
Cardillo told MTN News that a patrol officer found the man in the area of the 100 block of Calhoun Lane, where police found the body of the woman.
Police responded to the apartment at 2:18 p.m. and found the woman's body.
Cardillo did not say how she died; the names of the man and his mother have not yet been released.
Police found a body Monday afternoon in a south Billings apartment following an investigation into a disturbance.
Sgt. Bret Becker wrote in a tweet that police were responding to a "disturbance" on Calhoun Lane and found the body of a dead woman in the apartment.
Detectives are on the scene and investigating.
