BOZEMAN — Michael St. Pierre of Butte could face more than a decade in prison after allegedly driving while under the influence of drugs, hitting a car, and threatening to harm police.
According to court documents, St. Pierre is charged with DUI -- along with a list of misdemeanors involving spitting in a deputy’s face and resisting arrest from an incident late Sunday night.
Witnesses told Gallatin County Sheriff’s deputies they spotted St. Pierre’s car weaving in and out of oncoming traffic on Norris Road near Four Corners.
Deputies also say he forced several cars off the road, clipping a mirror off one, while driving at erratic speeds.
When deputies pulled him over, court documents say St. Pierre struggled, threatening to kill them and claiming he “had bodies on him.”
State prosecutors said in Gallatin County Justice Court Monday that St. Pierre was driving erratically -- from speeds as slow as two to three miles per hour up to 100 -- and multiple people reported his driving.
Investigators say while he had a medical marijuana card, St. Pierre admitted to being on marijuana, Xanax, and Seroquel.
