GREAT FALLS- Great Falls Public Schools has posted to its Facebook page, stating that they are experiencing a higher than usual incidence of flu-like illness in both students and staff.

According to the Cascade County Health Department, the primary symptom being reported with the flu this year is a sore throat.

The district is asking parents to keep their children home if they complain of a sore throat— whether or not it is accompanied with a fever.

Schools will start calling home for pickup if complaints of a sore throat occur at school.

Other symptoms of the flu include fevers, cough, fatigue, body aches, and headaches.
