GREAT FALLS — Candy Masterpiece in downtown Great Falls is hard at work making sweet treats for Valentine’s Day on Sunday.

The shop specializes in making chocolates, truffles, and scores of different flavors of fudge.

The owner of Candy Masterpiece, Angie Bruskotter, says its been a rush to get their candies ready for Valentine’s Day after the Christmas holiday season cleaned out most of the store.

“We really had to be frantic because we ran out of all chocolates at the end of Christmas and so we have been double-timing, trying to make up enough to sell as we were going along and then have enough for Valentine’s,” said Bruskotter.

"We have already seen quite a few orders come in,” said Anne Stordahl, owner of 2B Sweet Candy Shop in Conrad. She's looking forward to the Valentine's Day rush, especially after the "quiet" month of January. "People are really focused on the gift of giving around Christmas, then you go into January and it's like this lull,” Stordahl said.
