GREAT FALLS — The Great Falls Trap & Skeet Club will be suspending their spring league for the next two weeks due to concerns about the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Club president Mike Houseman said, "We just decided to postpone it for two weeks for the health of patrons and our shooters and help comply with what the government has recommended for people to do for the next couple of weeks."

The Spring league has more than 350 shooters participating.

“With the colder weather outside we tend to have a lot more people on the inside and so we just want to do our part to help this past as quickly as possible," he said. “We just want to do our part to make sure to help with everyone’s safety as much as we possibly can."

The club will be closed until April 1st, and at that point they will reevaluate the situation.

The club posted on Facebook: "It was a tough decision but with our late Montana winter forcing a large indoor crowd and our members health being the top priority, we are temporarily postponing our spring league shooting until April 1st thru June 10th. We will be waving all shoot makeup restrictions and may need to open extended or additional hours once we’re back up and running. Also with our members and guests health in mind we will be closing the clubhouse and traps until April 1st. Our thanks to all of you for your understanding and support as we all navigate through this strange ordeal."
