University of Providence application process for an accelerated nursing program is now open.

The program is a fast-paced 12-month intensive program designed for students who already obtained a bachelor’s degree in another field but seek education to become a Registered Nurse.

The nursing program will begin in January 2020 in Lewistown and will require relocation.

The program uses innovative models of teaching and learning as well as clinical experiences to prepare graduates for both challenges and rewards of a career in nursing.

Applications are due by September 15.

Students will also need to have completed 17 credits of specific pre-requisite courses along with the bachelor’s degrees.

Admission to the program is based on academic success and healthcare experience. Courses are 8 weeks in length.

The nursing program at the University is approved by the MT Board of Nursing and nationally accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Currently, the first cohort of students is completing their last semester in Lewistown and are set to graduate in Dec 2019.
