NEAR BILLINGS — Authorities are investigating a one-vehicle crash northwest of Billings that left one person dead and a second person injured.
The crash was reported to the Montana HIghway Patrol at 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday; it happened near mile marker 8 on Molt Road.
Initial reports indicate that the vehicle hit a power pole.
Authorities at the scene said a female passenger died and the male driver was injured in the crash.
The name of the person who died has not yet been released.
The Montana Department of Transportation said one lane is blocked due to emergency vehicles at the scene.
