BILLINGS — Two pedestrians were struck and killed by a driver in Big Horn County early Tuesday morning.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the incident happened just after midnight on Highway 451, just outside of Wyola.

The driver, a 19-year-old from Sundance, Wyoming, told officers he did not see the couple before hitting them.

Drugs, alcohol, and speed are not suspected to have played a role in the incident, troopers said.

The names of the two people have not yet been released.

At this point, there is no word yet on whether charges could be filed.
