An April storm has hit several parts of north-central Montana and dropped significant amounts of rain and snow.
A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for regions on the Rocky Mountain Front until 6 p.m.
Some areas along the Front have received large amounts of snow in elevations above 4,000 feet.
Since the slow-moving spring storm moved in Tuesday, Heart Butte and some surrounding areas have received over a foot and a half of snow.
Heavy, wet snow accumulation even caused power outages in winter storm-warned areas. Glacier Electric Cooperative reported outages in several areas in Glacier and Pondera counties including Heart Butte, Birch Creek, East Glacier, and Duck Lake.
Other areas along the Rocky Mountain Front also received significant amounts of snow:

The system moves out later Wednesday afternoon, but another arrives Thursday morning, which will bring more moisture to the Rocky Mountains and adjacent Plains.
