A Roundup man who was reported missing Sunday by the Musselshell County Sheriff’s Office has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash.

The Yellowstone County Coroner’s Office identified 80-year-old Sam Ohanesian as the victim of a crash on Highway 87 south of Roundup.

The Musselshell County Sheriff’s Office requested the public’s help Sunday in locating Ohanesian, who was last seen Saturday evening driving off of his property in Roundup.

The Montana Highway Patrol reported the crash involving Ohanesian occurred at 10 p.m. Saturday.

His 2008 Ford Explorer was traveling south on Highway 87 when for unknown reasons, it exited off the right side of the road.

The car struck a mailbox and a fence before hitting an embankment and coming to rest at the bottom of the embankment.

Ohanesian was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

“It is with a very heavy heart that I must relay that Sam O’Hanesian has been located,” a post from the Musselshell County Sheriff’s Office read. “He was an extraordinary man, who touched countless lives.”
