First Billings baby of 2021 born at St. Vincent

BILLINGS — Six moms gave birth on New Year's Eve at St. Vincent Healthcare, but it wasn't until midafternoon that the first Billings baby of 2021 was born.

Mosias Kills On Top came into the world at 2:38 p.m. on Jan. 1.

He was 20 inches and weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces.

He joins his siblings ages 10, 9, 7 and 3.

With COVID, Mosias has not had any visitors.

His due date was Jan. 5, so the birth was an extra special surprise for the family.

"We're just like, yea, we made it to the first new year's baby," said Moshea Kills On Top, Mosias's mother. "It's awesome."

Mosias is not a family name.

"We're just thinking up names and it came," she said. "You know, Moses."

"It's pretty special," said William Kills On Top, Mosias's father. "After I showed pictures to my kids and they were pretty excited that's what his name was. You can hear them screaming around, I want to talk, I want to talk. so we were all excited."

The Kills On Top family expects to leave to leave the hospital on Sunday to return to Hardin.

No word yet on the first baby born at Billings Clinic for the New Year.
