GREAT FALLS — KW Beef in Sunburst decided several months ago they wanted to re-brand themselves to show what their company is all about. While they started raising grass-fed cattle in 2010 they are now operating under the name Happy Steer Ranch.

They say the rebranding comes as they want to let their customers know they treat their animals with respect and are given everything they need to live comfortable, happy lives. They also started selling beef in more ways than their previous model of “beef on the hoof” or sold as “wholes and halves” to now include steaks, roasts, and hamburger as well.

With the rebranding of the company and its new name, employees wanted to find a new logo to match their new style but were not having any luck - so they decided to create a competition through Facebook.

Willow Wieskamp says they hope with so many people at home right now due to the stay at home order, that they might find someone who captures what they strive to achieve as a company.

Wieskamp says, “We know a lot of people are stuck at home right now and probably bored and looking for something to do. So, we thought hey, we’ll open it up to the community and see what they can show us."

The deadline to submit is April 30th at 5:00 p.m. and the winner receives a $100 gift card for Happy Steer Ranch to purchase any of the cuts of beef they offer.
