KALISPELL — A man died while paddleboarding on McGregor Lake west of Kalispell Tuesday afternoon.
The victim has been identified as David Blaney, 66, of Marion.
Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino said the accident happened in the Boisvert area of the lake between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
The victim fell off the paddleboard and did not resurface. His body was later recovered, according to Heino.
The Flathead County Dive Team, Flathead County Search and Rescue, Smith Valley Fire, and the Marion Fire Department all responded.
