The Missoula County Sheriff's Office has identified Benjamin Mousso as the young man who died of stab wounds sustained at a casino earlier this week.

Mousso, 18 years old, was from the Hamilton area in Ravalli County.

Missoula police said on Thursday that all parties involved in the stabbing have been identified, located, and interviewed.

No arrests have been made at this time as claims of self-defense are being investigated.

Once the investigation is complete, the Missoula County Attorney's Office will determine if any charges will be filed.



(JANUARY 2, 2020) A young man is dead after being stabbed late Wednesday in Missoula.

Missoula Police Department spokesman Sgt. Travis Welsh says officers responded to reports that a man had been stabbed in the 22000 block of South Avenue West at approximately 11:30 p.m.



Welsh says officers found an 18-year-old man with numerous stab wounds.

The officers began life-saving measures before the victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to a news release.

The name of the victim, said to be a resident of Ravalli County, has not yet been released.

The suspect has not yet been apprehended; Sgt. Welsh says they are following several leads in the case, and says there were witnesses to the stabbing.
