MISSOULA — One person died after a vehicle collided with a semi-truck in Lake County on Thursday evening.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports the crash happened at around 6:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 93 about one mile south of Ronan.
The driver of the vehicle died dead at the scene. The name of the person has not yet been released.
The driver of the semi was taken to a hospital; there is no word on the nature or severity of that person's injuries.
No other details have been released at this point; we will update you if we get more information.
(UPDATE) Lake County Sheriff Don Bell identified 70-year old Jack Howlett of Ronan as the man who died, and says that the investigation continues.
