Eldon, 52, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on January 2, 2020, due to complications associated with a lung transplant after his long battle with chronic illnesses.

Eldon was born in Great Falls on September 13, 1967, to Harold and Shirley Engen. He graduated from Great Falls High School in 1985, and received his Bachelor’s Degree in business from MSU-Billings. During that time, he met the love of his life, Linda McDunn, they were married May 20, 1989. They raised 3 beautiful daughters, Faith, Lindsie, and Jocelyn.

He was a hard working family man. His job as district manager with Hostess Brands brought the family to Riverton, Wyoming and later to Casper, Wyoming, where he spent 12 years. This never stopped him from making trips back home to Great Falls to spend quality time with family.

One of Eldon’s best traits was his sense of humor. Anyone who was around him knew he loved to joke, make funny comments, sing funny songs, and was always there to lighten the mood. He gave everyone a quirky nickname, but we all knew he only picked on the people that he loved. Jayk, Eldon’s three legged dog, cuddled with Eldon daily and was his ‘rehabilitation’ buddy.

Eldon is survived by his mother, Shirley Engen; wife of 30 years, Linda Engen; 3 daughters, Faith (Devin) Conaway, Lindsie (Jason) Gray, Jocelyn (Patrick) Dorman; 2 grandsons, Ryder and Bridger Conaway; brother, Bryan (Lori) Engen; numerous nieces; nephews; and cousins.
