A marginal risk of severe weather is forecasted for Helena and other parts of the southwest today.

This means strong storms are likely to develop, and an isolated severe storm will also be possible.

Storms develop through the afternoon and diminish late tonight.

A slight risk is issued for North-Central Montana’s forecast on Wednesday.

This means isolated severe storms will be possible as storms develop through the afternoon and evening hours.

Similar conditions for strong to severe storm development are also forecasted for Thursday across most of the Treasure State.

Midweek showers and storms will not create a washout, but expect isolated storms to become much stronger in the afternoon and evening hours these next few days.

Strong to severe storm hazards through late-week will include: large hail (up to quarter-size), gusty wind, brief, heavy downpours, and frequent lightning.
