A passing cold front will help to kick up the wind throughout Montana on Wednesday.

No alerts are expected with today's wind, most areas will experience gusts around 10 to 20 mph.

Despite the cold front daytime highs are still on track to reach the mid 70s fir most.

Following the passage of this front, temperatures will trend slightly cooler on Thursday.

Our next weather maker will begin knocking at our doorstep on Friday.

This system is expected to kick off showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon.

More widespread rain is likely on Saturday with lingering showers throughout the day Sunday.

Temperatures will remain well below average as we enter next week.
