Weather conditions take a turn for the worse Friday evening.

Friday will start out mild with daytime highs reaching the mid to high 50s for most.

The mild conditions will begin to deteriorate Friday afternoon as colder air begins to move our way.

Clouds will give way to rain which is anticipated to quickly turn to snow.

The heaviest snow is expected to impact Central Montana on Saturday.

On average most of North Central Montana will likely pick up 5 to 8 inches of snow through Saturday.

Temperatures are anticipated to remain cold well into next week.
