Sunday will be extremely windy - gusts could be as high as 80 mph along the Rocky Mountain Front.

Temperatures Sunday look to rebound back into the 50’s with gradually decreasing clouds and mostly sunny skies. An approaching upper-level trough from the Pacific Northwest will spread snow across the Continental Divide on Sunday and eventually across Southwest Montana Sunday night into Monday. Blowing snow is possible along the Rocky Mountain front due to high winds. Otherwise, impacts from the snow look to be minor.

The core of this upper level system moves across the region Monday. Given cold temperatures aloft and instability, SW MT has bigger chances of seeing stronger snow showers. The upper-level disturbance lingers across the region Tuesday before upper level ridging attempts to build in on Wednesday toward next weekend. This will keep the door open for periods of breezy conditions and light precipitation at times.
