Cooler air will continue to settle in across the state on Thursday.

Highs will remain in the mid to high 70s for most of the state today.

A few spotty showers are likely, however the most significant moisture will stay in southwestern Montana.

Clouds will continue to build overnight as more Pacific moisture heads our way.

This incoming system will present a better chance for more widespread rain on Friday.

Overall rain totals are expected to be minimal.

High pressure is on track to rebuild as we enter the weekend.

This will allow for sunny skies and above average temperatures both Saturday and Sunday.

Labor day is also shaping up to be a pleasant one.

Forecast models begin to diverge on Tuesday but a cooling trend is likely toward the middle of next week.
