Overall temperatures will remain just above average throughout Central Montana on Tuesday.

The heart of the state will see a less wind today; however, Northeastern Montana will have much stronger wind.

This strong wind in combination with low humidity levels has significantly increased the fire danger along the Hi-Line and Northeastern Montana.

Wind gusts in upwards of 30 to 40 mph are likely this afternoon.

Due to the high fire danger the National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Warning for this area.

The wind will die down on Wednesday and temperatures will continue to climb.

A good portion of the state will see temperatures near the 80s.

The remainder of the work week will offer up scattered rain and thunderstorms.

The best potential for stronger storms will be Thursday afternoon.

These passing storms will keep temperatures in the mid 60s for the remainder of the week.
