An overnight cold front has allowed for chilly air to settle in throughout Montana.

Temperatures will remain in the mid 40s and low 50s for most.

Skies will clear throughout the day with plenty of sunshine this afternoon.

More mild temperatures will return on Thursday and Friday.

Weather conditions take a turn for the worst late Friday.

Cold air and plenty of moisture is on track to move into the state through Saturday.

Rain will turn to snow Friday night, however most of it won't stick due to the warmer ground temperatures.

Lingering snow is likely on Saturday with a few light flurries possible on Easter Sunday.

Temperatures next week will struggle to warm back up to average.
