There's wind... and then there's Central Montana wind...

Sustained winds are anticipated to be between 30 and 45 mph for most of our area.

Wind gusts of 88 mph have already been reported along the northern portions of the Rocky Mountain Front.

The strong wind will help to bump temperatures well into the 50s and 60s through Saturday.

A heightened fire danger has warranted the National Weather Service to issue a Red Flag Warning for Saturday.

Grasslands will be especially vulnerable for fires to spread rapidly.

Temperatures will fall of the charts on Sunday and Monday as a cold front drops into the state.

A few flurries are likely with the passage of this front on Sunday.

Accumulations are expected to be less than an inch for most with South Central Montana catching the brunt of the snow.

Following this cold front, conditions are expected to gradually warm next week once again.
