Temperatures are on the rise Wednesday, and will likely peak well above average this afternoon.

The high 80s and early 90s are expected for most of Central Montana.

Breezy conditions ahead of our next weather system will help drive the temperatures.

Cooler air slides into the state from Canada early Thursday.

Not much in the way of moisture is expected with this front, however a few spotty showers can't be ruled out.

Pacific moisture will travel through the state late Thursday into Friday.

This second batch of energy will have a much better chance of producing rain in our area.

Showers are expected to linger on Friday, eventually tapering off during the evening.

The weekend is shaping up to be a nice one with highs well into the 80s.
