Strong high pressure will continue to build over Montana on Thursday allowing for temperatures to reach the 80s.

A light breeze is still likely throughout the area, however the wind will be less of a nuisance today.

A few spotty showers are possible around the capital later this afternoon.

More sun and even hotter temperatures are on tap for Friday with most of the state reaching the 90s.

Our next weather maker begins knocking at our door step on Saturday.

Western Montana will likely see widespread showers late in the day, however just a few stray storm are expected in Central Montana.

Sunday will present a much better chance for widespread rain and cooler temperatures.

Next week is expected to start out windy with highs in the low 70s.
