Despite a few mountain flurries, the work week starts out relatively mild.

The wind is expected to begin picking up Monday afternoon.

Daytime highs are on track to reach the low 50s for most.

The wind is expected to increase significantly on Tuesday as a cold front drops into the state.

Gusts of 40+ mph are likely during the afternoon with the passage of this front.

Despite the intrusion of colder air, temperatures will remain in the mid 50s thanks to the wind.

A wintry mix is likely to follow the passage of this front.

The mountains will catch the brunt of the snow, with more of a wintry mix likely in the plains.

The shower and snow will taper off on Wednesday.

Overall snow accumulations will be minimal for Central Montana.

Temperatures will begin to warm significant on Thursday and Friday.
