Tuesday has been another seriously cold day.

All of North Central Montana has seen below zero temperatures all day long, with some slightly warmer readings in the Helena area.

Bitterly cold temperatures are expected Tuesday night as well.

Wind chills will once again fall into the -20 to -50 degree range, and frostbite will be possible on exposed skin in as little as 5 to 10 minutes.

Actual air temperatures will break the -20 degree mark on the Hi-Line.

Skies are expected to begin clearing overnight, and if they can clear for an extended period of time, temperatures may fall even colder, with negative 30s not out of the question.

Overnight lows near Lewistown and Great Falls will be in the teens below zero, and single digits below zero are expected near Helena.

The clearing trend that begins Tuesday night will last into Wednesday as well, bringing a mostly sunny day.

Highs Wednesday will be more bearable, but still cold.

Below zero temperatures are still expected along the Hi-Line, with single digits near Great Falls.

Helena will see a significant improvement, and a high around 20 degrees is expected.
