Surface cold bringing gusty winds to the state today.
With dry and hot conditions and low relative humidity values, fires will be easily ignited and spread rapidly on Labor Day.
Winds calm down overnight for Tuesday but mostly dry and warm conditions continue.
Another surface cold front moves through on Wednesday which will once again bring in gusty winds and the return of favorable fire conditions.
A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for Wednesday 12 p.m. through 8 p.m.
Cooler/wetter conditions move in by Friday and continue into the weekend.
