For many of us, rain is starting to fade away this Wednesday afternoon, but a band of heavy rain is still stretching from the Wyoming border near Billings all the way into Northeast Montana.

In Northeast Montana rain will linger not only into the night tonight, but into Thursday as well.

An additional inch to two inches of rain will be possible in the Northeast, and flooding remains a concern.

Flooding of poor drainage areas and small creeks and streams is likely, and flooding of some larger rivers, including the Poplar and Milk River, is possible.

Areas from Havre to Lewistown and westward will clear through the night, and will actually enjoy a sunny Thursday.

Low temperatures will mainly in the in the 40s Wednesday night.

Highs climb into the 70s by Thursday afternoon, wit cooler temperatures to the east.
