It has been a VERY windy day in North Central Montana.

Many locations have reported wind gusts of over 50 mile per hour, and gusts as high as 80 miles per hour have been reported along the Rocky Mountain Front.

Fortunately winds will begin to die down Tuesday night, and will be much lighter on Wednesday.

The winds aren't our only concern though.

We're also tracking showers and thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon.

For the most part, the storms have been spotty and weak, but brief heavy downpours and small hail are possible.

The storms will push south through the evening, and exit our area overnight.

From there, we'll see a few rain and snow showers that will last on an off through Wednesday.

Little to no snow accumulation is expected at lower elevations, but as much as half a foot will be possible in the Little Belts and Big Belts.

Temperatures will be fairly cool Wednesday, with highs in the 30s and 40s.
