As a new ridge builds over the state the wind will become a bit breezy. Stronger wind is likely on Christmas Eve, in turn driving temperatures back above average.

With the wind and high pressure, daytime highs will reach the mid to high 40s on Thursday.

If you've been dreaming of a white Christmas, you'll be disappointed this year. Friday is expected to remain dry and breezy with highs in the low to mid 40s.

An incoming low pressure system is on track to break down the high pressure ridge as we enter the weekend. Forecast models are suggesting that a few flurries are possible as this system tracks through the state on Saturday. A few lingering flurries are possible on Sunday; however, the overall snow accumulation is expected to be minimal.

This passing system will allow for colder air to filter in from Canada, dropping temperatures closer to average.
