KRTV Communications, LLC part of the Montana Television Network, is looking for a full-time Digital Content Producer/ Videographer, based in Great Falls, Mont.
Responsibilities include:
- Shooting video for on-air and online news stories.
- Setting up live shots.
- Caring for camera gear and station vehicles.
- Assisting reporters and anchors with video and story production.
- Creating, managing and editing text, slideshow, and video content for KRTV digital platforms, including websites, apps, and social media.
- Pursuing news tips and reporting on breaking news on digital formats, driving viewers across multiple platforms.
- Collaborating with others in the newsroom on developing stories and best practices for digital publishing.
- Managing the KRTV digital community, including Facebook and Twitter.
- Analytics reporting, as necessary.
- Candidates should be able to work quickly to meet deadlines in a very demanding news environment, must be able to multitask, must be a self-starter, and must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Applicants must have stellar writing skills, and be proficient in grammar, punctuation, and spelling as well as having excellent writing and communications skills.
Candidates with videography experience, knowledge of AP Style, and experience working in a newsroom or with digital and/or social media preferred.
Experience with content-management systems preferred, particularly Frankly and/or WordPress, but not necessary.
Candidate must be able to work weekends.
