Despite the recent rain and sunshine, range and pasture conditions aren’t looking quite as favorable as last year at this time.
According to the latest USDA Crop Progress Report for Montana, nine percent of the state’s pastures are rated at excellent compared to last year 30 percent. Sixty seven percent is rated as good compared to last years 49 percent.
Weather conditions are expected to remain dry through Wednesday, before a few showers and thunderstorms kick up Thursday and Friday.
A few storms this weekend will likely keep daytime highs in the mid 70s.
