Paris Gibson Education Center has a new health clinic in its halls; it’s the first school-based health clinic in Great Falls.
Partnering with the Great Falls Community Health Care Center, medical services will be provided to any GFPS student, staff member, and their immediate families.
A doctor and a nurse will be on-hand and will offer a range of services, such as physicals, preventative visits, and other urgent needs such as fevers, coughing, pink eye, and more.
The clinic will accept several types of insurance, and staff says no child will be refused care.
Kelsey Gummer, the Community Health Center Chief Strategic Director, says the clinic is a great way to better serve the students and their families.
Gummer said, "We have a lot of parenting teens here and it’s tough enough to take care of themselves while they are taking care of their child. So how do we provide a place where they can get preventative visits, so we can provide care before they are sick, we can do well-child checks, we can do annual physicals. And we can help create those healthy habits that last forever."
The satellite clinic will be open on Wednesdays from 9am to 6pm.
