The Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest staff is recruiting volunteers to serve as a campground host for the Many Pines Campground.
The Many Pines Campground is located in the heart of the Little Belt Mountains near Neihart.
Campground hosts may provide their own trailer and occupy a prominent campsite in a campground.
The campground host’s duties include welcoming guests, answering questions, explaining and encouraging compliance with the rules, and providing light maintenance of campsites, outhouses, and facilities.
The Forest would like have a host before Memorial Day and extending through Labor Day weekend.
The host may leave for a couple of days throughout the week but would need to be at the campground over the weekends.
Although the position is volunteer, a daily per diem will be paid to the host to help defray costs of food, propane, and other expenses.
The ideal candidate will enjoy helping people, value a spirit of hospitality, love the outdoors, and will be able to explain and remind people about relevant rules.
