Great Falls College MSU will hold its commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 5, for 323 students who have earned their associate degree or certificate.

Commencement will begin at 4 p.m. in the McLaughlin Center at the University of Providence. It is open to the public and seating will begin at 3 p.m.

District Court Judge Greg Pinski will deliver the commencement address.

A reception for the graduates and their families will follow the ceremony at Heritage Hall.

The 2018 graduating class earned 383 certificates and degrees with 55 students receiving several degrees, 51 graduating with honors, and 76 graduating with high honors.

GFC MSU will also award 54 veterans, their spouses, and their dependents with 62 degrees and certificates.

Thirteen duel enrollment students will also graduate prior to receiving their high school diploma.

In a press release, Dr. Susan Wolff, CEO and Dean at GFC MSU, stated that commencement is a wonderful day to celebrate the students’ accomplishments.

"Many of our students overcome great hardships in order to walk across the stage at graduation," she said. "Many raise families while going to school, work other jobs, or serve in the military. This is a truly amazing group of individuals who are celebrating a life-changing achievement."

The average age of this year’s graduating class is 29.

The McLaughlin Center is located at 1301 20th Street South. For more information about the ceremony, please call (406) 771-4412 or (406) 771-4314.
