A woman was taken into custody in the Riverview neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon.
Several police cars were at the scene along Riverview Drive.
One person told KRTV that a GFPD officer and a federal officer conducted the traffic stop, and officers then approached the car with guns drawn.
A GFPD officer took the driver out of the car; the name of the woman has not yet been released, nor has the reason for the incident.
Shortly after that, more officers arrived to assist, and get the woman into the back of a police car.
Witnesses said that at least one small child was seen inside the car.
A witness messaged KRTV: "They sat and waited for fire and ambulance then a lady left with the suspect’s car and the children."
There is no word yet on the name of the woman.
