Nearly nine months later, and construction for the new Mountain View Co-op’s location is finally complete, and the station is now open for business.
The new location is directly across from their old location, along Old Havre Highway.
The reason being, location manager Foster Sensibaugh says, is because the old location did not meet the diesel pump volume the station was seeing.
The new location will only have two unleaded pumps, as they try and meet the need for diesel customers.
“We have outgrown our footprint across the street for our diesel customers, so we figured we should reward them for their patronage, shopping our store, expand, and offer all our diesel products with all brand new pumps,” Sensibaugh said.
Sensibaugh says it’s a perfect location because customers will not have to go up to Airport Hill.
Today they hosted a soft opening, but will be having a grand opening within the next month.
Eventually, Mountain View Co-op plans to tear down the old location and rebuild it.
Sensibaugh says they are always looking for new employees, and that they will be able to go back and forth between locations.
