There is police activity on the southwest side of Great Falls.
Several police officers with weapons drawn are in the area near 4th Avenue SW and 5th Street SW.
We do not yet know the circumstances of the search.
People are advised to avoid the area if possible.
We have a reporter headed to the area and will post updates as we get more information.
Update: Police say that they were responding to reports of "suspicious activity," but have not been able to find any person in the area acting suspiciously.
Police also used an aerial drone to survey the area.
The GFPD says that there does not appear to be any danger to the community.
Police did not release any other details.
The area has been cleared.
