Mark Steven Ross, 31, faces three felony charges after allegedly strangling two women.
Court documents state that Great Falls Police officers responded to a business for a report of a disturbance on June 4.
A woman told an officer that she and another woman had been physically abused by Ross at their residence.
The first victim reported that earlier that day, Ross forced her to get on her knees while holding a knife to her neck and threatening to kill her.
She said Ross placed her in a head lock and applied pressure around her neck and throat area, which blocked her airway.
In another incident, the first victim said she was driving when Ross held a knife to her wrists and yelled while a minor was in the vehicle.
The second victim reported that when she was leaving a residence, Ross grabbed her around the throat and neck area and applied pressure.
Ross has been charged with two felony counts for strangulation of a partner or family member and one felony count for assault with a weapon.
He has prior convictions for misdemeanor battery and DUI and an arrest for violation of probation and a prior failure to appear.
The State has requested bond be set at $15,000.
