The Montana Vet Program’s missing "pig egg," which was inside a truck stolen from Eagle Mount Great Falls on the 4th of July, has been recovered.
According to the Great Falls Police Department, the "pig egg" was found during the execution of a search warrant on a vehicle.
The GFPD said they came into contact with the vehicle containing the "pig egg" on Monday night after it attempted to elude officers during a traffic stop. The vehicle was found and secured in a GFPD facility pending the application of the search warrant.
The 75-pound "pig egg" contains nearly 7,000 dog tags from service members who gave their lives serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
No other details about the discovery were available at this time.
Eagle Mount Great Falls reported that their Activity Center, located at 1065 Franklin Avenue, was broken into and several items were stolen, including credit cards and the organization’s 2014 Blue Toyota Tundra truck, on July 4.
The truck was recovered by the Cascade County Sheriff’s Office on July 6.
Eagle Mount Great Falls has provided recreational activities for those with physical and mental disabilities since November 1990.
