(GREAT FALLS) Jeffrey Mangan, the Montana Commissioners of Political Practices, has reached a settlement agreement with Brett Doney’s "Yes for Cascade County Jobs" committee.

The settlement agreement says that in order to avoid litigation, the commissioner and Doney entered into the agreement.

The file to action determined that Doney failed to comply with certain campaign finance and practices laws and administrative regulations.

Those regulations include: failure to timely update statement of organization to reflect the appointment of a new treasurer and disclosing their address, and failure to timely and fully report campaign contributions and expenditures.

The settlement means Doney agrees to two things:

Yes for Cascade County Jobs will provide in-kind public education activities for the public good in the form of the ‘Great Jobs for Great Falls’ pilot program.

The program involves creating connections between residents who need or want jobs with businesses who need employees.

The project will be funded and administered by the great falls development authority and start in September of 2018 and run through June 30th, 2019.

The second part of the settlement will be a payment of a civil fine in the amount of $5,000.
