It’s going to be a stormy next few days statewide.

We’re already tracking showers and storms Tuesday afternoon.

The risk for strong to severe storms will be from Helena to areas south and east through the evening.

Great Falls and Lewistown may get in on some weaker storms or showers.

The threat for severe weather ramps up Wednesday, and increases even more Thursday.

Unstable air and wind shear will allow thunderstorms to grow quickly and organize.

Hail and high winds will be the main threats both days, with Thursday, again, having the higher potential for damaging severe weather.

In fact, on Thursday even an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out, though the odds are pretty low.

It’s important to stay up to date with the weather for the next few days.
