HELENA — The Lewis & Clark County Sheriff's Office said in a press release on Friday that deputies are investigating a reported sexual assault.

On Sunday, August 25, at about 10:24 a.m., Dispatch received a 911 call from a resident in the East Valley area who reported that two men had broken into her home and sexually assaulted her at gunpoint.

Deputies responded to the residence and met with the woman. She told the officers that the men entered through an unlocked screen door, which was open due to the heat, brandished weapons at her, and then sexually assaulted her. The men then left and walked away.

The men were seen by the woman walking up her driveway prior to entering the home. She said they were white, in their 40s, wearing business suits, and had a “clean-cut” appearance, with what appeared to be ID badges on.

The area surrounding the residence was canvased. The men have not been identified or located.

The Sheriff’s Office has received no similar calls, and is continuing to investigate.

If you have any information regarding this case, you are asked to call Detective Pekovitch at 406-447-8243.
