GREAT FALLS — It's been six months since Tony Arntson took over the University of Providence track and cross country program - and the longtime football coach had to learn a lot on the fly.

But now that he's made it through cross country season - he's turned his focus to recruiting, and today he signed three runners from CMR -- Chase Mora, Logan Martin, and Jordan Kleinhans -- who will continue their careers with the Argo track program next fall.

Arntson says he's taking a more hands on approach to recruiting Montana than many other college coaches: "A lot of track and field coaches don't go out to recruit.  They rely on social media or texting and I think it's really benefitted us getting out in the small schools and meeting kids and recruiting them like a football program, we've got some good early signed kids right now, some high quality kids coming in at the semester and looking forward to a lot more for next fall for sure."
