Emergency crews respond to structure fire in Great Falls (March 4, 2026)

(UPDATE, 4:27 p.m.) Great Falls Fire Rescue says Engine 1 arrived at the home and found the occupant of the residence and his dogs safely outside the home.

Firefighters found the fire in the primary bedroom, and were able to quickly control the fire and prevent it from spreading to other areas of the home.

The fire was determined to have started from space heaters that were in use on the bed.

The occupant was referred to the American Red Cross for assistance.

There were no injuries.



(1st REPORT, 3:21 p.m.) Great Falls Fire Rescue is at the scene of a reported structure fire.

The agency said just after 3 p.m. on Wednesday that the fire is along Verde Drive between 17th Avenue South and 18th Avenue South.

There are no reports of any injuries at this time.

At this point, there is no word on the extent of the fire, nor the cause.
