GREAT FALLS — A public forum was held at MT Pints in Great Falls on Tuesday evening for people to pitch ideas for business and recreational development along the Urban Missouri River Corridor.

Around 20 people spoke up and presented ideas and answered questions.

In addition to members of the Great Falls Development Authority, financial and business planners attended the event to listen to ideas.

Proposals included food truck spots, equipment rentals for items such as paddle-boards and bikes, event venues, and even a multi-day festival.

Jolene Schalper of the GFDA said, "Our river corridor is widely underutilized, especially when it comes to business ideas. Many of us have been to other communities, communities our size, that have evening river cruises, that have booze cruises, that have paddleboard rentals and kayak rentals right on the river."
