GREAT FALLS — For three years now, Great Falls Central Catholic High School has put its commitment to service in action, providing Christmas presents to less fortunate children in the community.

Each year, members of the Excel Club trim the tree with personalized tags. Each tag indicates information about a child who might not receive a gift otherwise.

Excel Club president Mackenzy Leray explained, "Most of us, we get gifts for Christmas and we don’t really know what it’s like with these lives of children, what they go through. And so just knowing that they actually have a Christmas to celebrate just gives a good feeling in the heart."

With more gifts needed than ever before, Central Catholic’s deacon Bob Ferguson said they need help from students and supporters who are able to donate.

“We have approximately 130 students here and of the 130 students that we have here, everybody wants to get involved, everybody wants to help. But not everybody can because it’s a cost. Everybody wants to help but not everybody can so we’re asking everybody that can to help,” he said.

You can pick up a tree tag next to the main office anytime from now until December 13th, when all gifts are due.

The school is located at 2800 18th Avenue South, about a mile south of Benefis Health System.
