Through the power of social media, and a post shared over 100 times, MTN News was able to find Sarah-Cate Parker, who is a photographer in North Carolina.

The card had dozens of photos celebrating a child’s first birthday.

(August 6, 2019) A Great Falls woman is on a mission to return a lost item.

Amber Fern is a photographer, so when she found an SD card at Mighty Mo downtown, she became determined to find its owner.

“We just started thumbing through the photos and we saw there was a family. And a cake smash! I was like, 'Oh my gosh, this is really precious,'” Fern said.

The photos depict a child’s first birthday photo session complete with balloons and a cake.

“Family photos are so important because they just grow up so fast,” Fern said. “I think it is so important to get the card back to them just because it is a memory that you can’t redo. It would mean so much to get that back, especially the memories of one year.”

Fern took to the power of social media. Her post has been shared over 100 times in hopes to find the family pictured.

“Our community is the greatest. This town really looks out for each other and they really care for each other,” Fern said.

Editor’s note: MTN is only sharing a few of the photos to protect the family’s privacy.
